Service Electric Cablevision Continues Fiber-to-the-Home Deployments

Press Release | Published: February 2, 2024

Service Electric Cablevision, a leading provider of residential and business Internet, TV and Phone services is excited to announce it has completed deploying Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) to residents in a Columbia County network expansion area in Mount Pleasant Township. Residential and Commercial customers in the Mount Pleasant Township expansion area now have access to fast, reliable matching download and upload Internet speeds ranging from 100M to 2 Gig, Plume Whole-Home Wi-Fi, TiVo Stream IPTV service and Home Phone.

“The Mount Pleasant Township network expansion consists of approximately 50 miles of fiber routing and passes over 500 homes. Providing high-quality wired broadband service to residents in an area without previous access is an exciting opportunity, especially when using a totally fiber optic network.” said Sam Haulman, General Manager of the Sunbury System.

“We are also pleased to announce that construction has started on several other FTTH network expansion projects. These new builds will bring FTTH service to over one thousand residents and businesses in the Rockefeller and Lower Augusta Township areas of Northumberland County. Service is expected to be start being available to residents during the first quarter of 2024.”
